It’s been so long since I’ve shared a simple dessert table that wasn’t based on a “theme” that I’m thrilled to show you this pretty pink dessert table from Natalie of Chic Sweets. This was done for a little girls 2nd birthday (Chloe) who’s mom is photographer Shay Cochrane, and who took the gorgeous photos. Natalie used shades of pink, fuchsia, and gray to create a sleek modern display, and many of the treats and details could be easily re-created.
I think you’ll agree that this table proves you don’t have to be super crafty or spend a fortune to get beautiful results. I love the milk glass vases and candy dishes used, and the patterned paper which complements the striped backdrop. Here’s what Natalie has to say about the display: “The overall feel for Chloe’s birthday and dessert table is very modern and clean, but of course, girly. I continuously remain obsessed with the color grey in conjunction with just about any color for an added pop. Also stuck with all-white platters and cake stands, which created a monochromatic look without having to spend a fortune. In this case, the majority of our vessels were purchased at Target. On top of using all-white platters, everything was lined using a great paper print from my “go-to” online retail site, Paper Source. Although we were already working with stripes, I find that working with a separate paper print adds another dimension to the table. Lastly, my favorite part of the table are the mix-match collection of milk vases with gerbera daisies in varied shades of pink and fuchsia. The striped backdrop anchors the table as the final touch. To top things off, Shay added her own cute little banner that was strung across the table.”
