There is so much emphasis on Halloween candy and treats, but what about some real sustenance for the kids before they head out for their sugar high? I created this Halloween supper & costume party for Celebrations using invitations from Pear Tree Greetings as inspiration. I set up a playful table for the kids to help themselves to non sugary sweets like mummy dogs, mummy mini pizzas, mummy mouths, and popcorn. They can wash it down with a simple green punch served in science beakers. I also show a tutorial for DIY prize ribbons for ‘best costume’ categories. I hope you’ll check out these ideas for your own pre-trick-or-treat party!

This is such a clever way to use the vampire teeth!
Thanks Carmen : )
I can’t get enough of the Halloween food ideas. I’ve seen the hot dog mummies before but I had forgotten how cute they are.
Those food items are so easy to do too, but the kids do love them!
wow! great inspiration!!
Thanks Donna, glad you like it!
Sensacional! Adorei as idéias. Seu blog é muito bom. Parabéns.
The food looks great!
Chris, that is exactly the kind of worry I have, focus on offering salt or crude food for the kids and adults, limiting at most sugar excess. Really nice to read your ideas and the mummy food looks so fun. Congratulations!
Thanks for the sweet words, Beatriz.
