If you haven’t stocked up on summer entertaining essentials yet, I’ve got you covered right here. As you know I’m an ambassador with World Market, and about a month ago I shopped and stocked up on some fabulous finds for summer {you can see some of them in this shoot}. I also found myself dreaming of a few items, but not ready to buy them yet because we’re still in the planning phase of building a patio.

If our patio was built already, this is how I would set it up:

  1. Martin outdoor dining table – I love this table because it’s wood which gives it charm, it’s fitted for an umbrella in the center, and it seats 6 comfortably. I’d like to surround it with a mix of bench seating and the Cadiz metal chairs.
  2. Cadiz metal chairs – These brightly colored chairs are comfortable and so stylish. Add one to each end of the table and place a decorative pillow for even more pattern and color.
  3. 9 foot Cote Stripe umbrella – Most outdoor entertaining begins before the sun goes down which means you’ll need a large umbrella for shade. I like this striped umbrella because it combines lots of colors in a pattern that will go with any occasion.
  4. Edison style string lights – When the sun goes down, I want to be surrounded by decorative lighting, like these Edison style string lights. Hang them around the perimeter of the patio or deck, or over head so they’re like stars in the sky.
  5. Salad Servers – What summer menu doesn’t include some sort of salad? Whether its a green salad, pasta salad, or potato salad, serve it up with these pretty salad servers.
  6. Salad bowl – I love my wooden salad bowl. It has an asymmetrical shape and it looks great on any table. It’s large enough to serve a crowd too.
  7. Pacific tumblers – I’ve gotten so many comments on the pacific tumblers I used in my summer shoot {linked at top}. They have such a great look, they come in 5 beautiful colors, and they’re non-breakable. The perfect choice for your summer table.
  8. Chevron napkins – I never met a chevron pattern I didn’t like. These napkins add style to any setting and the complimentary stitching is a great detail. These also come in 2 other color ways.
  9. Melamine plates – Melamine is the quintessential material used in outdoor entertaining and these decorative plates are bright and versatile. Layer a solid color salad plate on top or leave it as is with the chevron napkins and pacific tumblers.
  10. Retro cooler – I’m still in love with this retro cooler. Although it’s made for pick-up-and-go, I think it would look amazing sitting on a side table filled with ice and bottles of beer, soda, or wine. The attached bottle opener makes it all that more convenient.
